College education is no doubt expensive, and if you take into consideration all the other costs, you may have a sensation that you can not afford it altogether. If you follow some rules concerning your (!) food, you can still save a lot.

No matter what will happen, never go shopping if you are hungry, as you will spend much more than what you planned to.

Before the beginning of every month create a list of the things that you are in the need of and count exactly how much money you will need to spend on it all. In your list there may be housing, utilities, food, and transportation. Do not write more than you really need while calculating. Do not include fast and junk food, because as a matter of fact it is not what is really cheap for a student like you. Surely, there could be something that is really cheap, but where is the guarantee that it is good for you. Do not forget this as well.

You can also reduce your utilities if you use the air conditioner and other heating. Turn off the lights if you are not using them, wash big portions of linen rather than smaller ones.

One more way to save money avoiding fees that you pay to your bank when using your credit cards. Change your cards to cash, and you will not make a mistake. And it will not be only one fee that you will be paying, but several fees more.

If you are a constant user of credit cards, do not go over your credit limit and forget to cover your payments on time.
